Al's Sportsmans Speedway was built by Al Weimer in 1946. The 1/4 mile dirt track is located just off of Township Road 1008, a half-mile west of SR 545 between Olivesburg and Savannah. Al's Sportsmans Speedway was renamed to Ashland Speedway in 1953 which was also the final year of operation. Not much is left to see today but the track layout is still faintly visible. Among our findings were old fenceline, an infield tire marker and a small building in the infield near turn 4.
